Screenverse adds Western Union’s 2,600-screen DOOH network

Advertisers will gain programmatic access to more than 2,600 digital screens in financial services and retail locations across 124 U.S. markets through Western Union’s selection of Screenverse as its exclusive programmatic technology partner.

The Western Union Media Network generates more than 623 million monthly impressions. Its screens appear in check-cashing centers, banks, supermarkets, pharmacies and convenience stores, with a presence in major markets including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Houston.

The partnership gives programmatic buyers access to consumers engaged in money management, payments and other financial services. According to the companies, average dwell times of 15 to 20 minutes offer opportunities to reach people while they conduct financial transactions.

"Financial services has been an underbuilt venue category, and this partnership opens it up with the reach and targeting rigor programmatic buyers expect", said Nick Sadler, Senior Vice President of Supply at Screenverse.

Western Union says Hispanic, African American, Asian and immigrant communities have strong representation across its network. It also reaches consumers who primarily use cash or checks and may be less visible through conventional digital targeting.

Josh Bernstein, Director of Media Network Operations at Western Union, said the partnership will help broaden the media network’s reach and attract additional advertising demand.

Advertisers can access Western Union’s inventory programmatically through Screenverse via Place Exchange by Broadsign and Perion, incorporating the network into their existing campaign planning and buying processes.
